Darío Escobar nació en Guatemala en 1971. Pintor. Estudios de Restauración y conservación en el Museo de Arte Colonial, Antigua Guatemala; Artes visuales en la ENAP y Arquitectura en la Universidad Rafael Landívar. Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas en Milán, París, Caracas, Nueva York y Madrid.
Ha participado en las bienales de Arte de Albania, República Dominicana, Venezuela, Francia, Perú y Ecuador. Ha presentado exposiciones individuales en Guatemala y Costa Rica. Su trabajo ha sido comentado en publicaciones extranjeras.
Reconocimientos: Glifo de Plata, categoría general, concurso de Pintura, en la X Bienal de Arte Paiz 1996, y mención honorífica, categoría Artistas invitados, Concurso de Pintura, en la XI Bienal de Arte Paiz, Guatemala, 1998.
